Shelmaliers GAA Club

We are a GAA Club with a proud tradition going back more than 130 years, with
strong links to the local community – we provide regular coaching and matches for
children aged u6 to u17 as well as several adult teams in both codes.
However, while we’re proud of that tradition, we are dynamically focussed on being
as good as we can be in the present, on facing the next challenge. We are also
focussed on preparing for the future – to give the young people of our area a club to
be proud of, a club in which they, in their turn, will create their own tradition.
We achieved various successes at underage level in both hurling and football . We
work continuously at developing our coaching structures, and the development
pathways for our young players. We now have a full-time Games Promotion Officer
to help us in this, who also cements the link between us and local schools.
If you are new to the area or have not visited our facilities yet – please make contact
as we aim to make everyone feel welcome.
