Castlebridge Co Op

Castlebridge Community Co-op is a platform to develop and voice a sustainable vision for Castlebridge. Castlebridge Community Co-op was set up in 1993 and has worked hard alongside other groups to contribute to village life. As a voluntary group based in the community, we are conscious that infrastructure and facilities have not increased at the same rate as our population. In 2020 we secured funding under a Government COVID Accelerated measure and after a massive amount of work we developed this website to bring groups and services on to the same page.

By celebrating local energy, ideas, groups and businesses we are helping to build an inclusive Castlebridge, a safe and dynamic place for each of us to live, work, learn and play. The gap between services, facilities, available resources, and population growth highlights a range of needs and issues that reflect the diversity of our community. There have been a great many suggestions for improving community life in Castlebridge yet communities can only achieve great things when people come together to support each other.

The restrictions of movement in 2020 and 2021 highlighted the value of local connections and the need to support each other. This website celebrates the value and individuality of our various local groups and businesses. Castlebridge Community Co-op offers us all a vehicle to join forces and to generate a sustainable vision together for Castlebridge.
